MARGE At-A-Glance

MARGE (Mississippi Autumn Rec.Gambling Excursion) will be played at the Beau Rivage Casino and Resort the week of April 30th through May 4th.

Patterned after BARGE, ATLARGE, and FARGO, we expect to draw entrants mainly from the south but we welcome ARGers from anywhere.

We have planned the following tournament schedule:

Please note that the Tournament starting times are subject to change depending on the number of players and circumstances beyond our control. Johnny Grooms has tentatively agreed to the 2PM starting time for Thursday which will not interfere with their normal 6 PM tournament starting time. Friday's early 8 AM start will not interfere with their normal 12 PM (NLHE) and 2PM (1/2 Pot Limit Omaha & 1/2 NLHE) tournaments starting times. Saturday's 8 AM start will not interfere with their 1st weekend of the month $15K guaranteed NLHE event at 12 PM. For persons arriving Wednesday or earlier, there is a Beau Rivage 6 PM Tournament Wednesday evening.

A Wednesday night ÒSmoker DinnerÓ is planned in the Coast (former Brew Pub) of the Beau Rivage. The time will be announced later.

Tipping of other personnel such as runners, desk, etc is highly recommended since they make everything run as smoothly as possible.

All entries will be handled starting one hour before each tournament starts. Johnny Grooms' Poker room staff will handle all fees. You must have a Beau Rivage Players Club Card to enter any tournament. These cards are available at the Beau Rivage Player's Club and are free.

Hope Haven Abused ChildrenÕs Center of Hancock County will continue as our Charity this year. Please give generously. Visits to see the fine work they are doing can be arranged by contacting Mark Hughes.

There will be a registration fee of $25 payable in advance, by check, to cover cost of trophies, badges, etc.

Room Reservations

Johnny Grooms at the Beau Rivage was only able to secure 20 rooms for MARGE 8 at the $79/$99 weekday/weekend room rates. Please consider a roommate to split costs if all the rooms are reserved. Do not call the Hotel Directly. Instead, ask for the poker room. The Poker Room Direct Number is 228-386-7092. MARGE Players must call the poker office and ask for Donna or Johnny. Make sure you mention MARGE, as the Beau is booking many rooms for their March 19-30 Spring Break Tournament. If you do not get an answer, be sure to leave a voice mail and mention MARGE.

Who is Eligible to Register for MARGE?

Registrations are limited to members of the rec.gambling community. The organizers reserve the right to deny participation in any or all MARGE events to anyone, at their discretion. Registrations must be performed online and by registrant personally (No Third Party Registrations). An exception is made for Significant Others.

A registration is also to be considered an exclusive agreement between the registrant and MARGE, and may not be assigned to another party without prior agreement of the MARGE Organizers. These steps have been deemed necessary to preserve MARGE as an RGP private Event.

When will Registration Open?

Registration for MARGE will open upon your receipt of this form. All registration must be done online via the World Wide Web Registration page. You must register for yourself. Full registration details are available on our Registration page.

Cancellation of Registrations

Since the $25 registration fee is going to be spent whether you show up or not there will be no refunds.

If you are registered and have to cancel please e-mail Mark at oldbear46@hotmail.com as it is important that we provide the Beau Rivage Poker Room with a reasonably accurate count to schedule their tables and dealers
